Austin Street John, the red ranger actor of the ’90s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, recently got into trouble with the FBI. U.S. Attorney Britt Featherston and the Justice Department announced the arrest of 18 people, including in St. Petersburg. John, guilty of fraud or manipulation of the system.

St. John, 47, was picked up by authorities Thursday morning from his home, TMZ reported. One of the defendants, Michael Hill, is accused of recruiting others to use an existing business or create a business to apply for funding from the Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program (literally the U.S. version of MSME), which is designed to maintain businesses Float during the COVID-19 crisis.

A statement posted on the actor’s Instagram account read: “Austin St. John is a father, husband, role model, and friend to many. The indictment attached today is filled out by multiple people – most of whom Austin doesn’t know, or has even never had before.” There was no meeting (with the accused).

“We understand that Austin handed his trust, reputation and finances to third parties with self-centred goals that were ultimately manipulated and betrayed his trust. We look forward to Austin”

“We hope Austin’s legal team will successfully defend themselves against these charges and be released. In light of this serious situation, we ask that you respect the privacy of the Austin family and thank you for your support.”
