Armed Fantasia and Penny Blood Money Exceeds Expectations, Promising Content Rewards!

I can’t believe we’re getting close to the end of September and that means the campaign crowdfunding From Armed Fantasia: To the End of the Wild and Penny Blood is coming to an end. Two new spiritual projects for the storied Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts franchises have generated a lot of enthusiasm, and their funding goals were achieved in less than a day after the Double Kickstarter opened. Developers WILD BUNCH Productions and YUKIKAZE also shared various new developments in the development of the project.

Through our latest press release, Armed Fantasia and Penny Blood have managed to raise nearly $2 million, which means that’s almost double their original goal. Thanks to this achievement, developers now have additional support to add more content to the game. While it doesn’t look like there’s enough time to hit all the content goals that each game can add, at least they’re getting enough funding to warrant the game’s development, and who knows they can bring the rest of the future through DLC content.

In addition, the confirmation of the participation of legendary composers Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) and Kenji Ito (Saga) in the game project also brought unexpected surprises. There will also be a bonus CD “The Composer’s Dream” featuring a special arrangement of the very popular Shoji Meguro mixes from the Persona series and other well-known composers. Supporters who receive the exclusive “Golden Ticket” will be able to watch a special concert on October 1st featuring Yoshitaka Hirota, Akari Kaida, Michio Okamiya, Chihiro Fujioka and Masahiro Meguro as special guests Attend.

Speaking of games that started with Armed Fantasy, this is a JRPG that is the spiritual successor to Wild Arms, from the distinctive turn-based game design to the Wild West theme that has strong ties to the series. The game focuses on the epic adventure of a team of Pathfinders led by Ingram Goodweather in London, a wild world full of dangers and secrets of a civilization from thousands of years ago. The game itself promises a “very extensive” world map for players to explore, with unique turn-based gameplay through a cross-order tactical system.

Speaking of Penny Blood, Shadow Hearts’ successor is a JRPG that’s ready to take players on a tragic and gripping horror adventure in every corner of the world. The game itself tells the story of a detective named Matthew Farrell who goes on a secret mission in Japan before he ends up getting involved in a dangerous paranormal world that increasingly threatens human existence. In addition to the typical themes and story concepts of the Hearts of Shadows series, the game features a unique turn-based gameplay with a “spiritual imprint” system that is more challenging. Since the protagonist is a detective, part of the gameplay also takes you on an investigation to solve a case.

Interested in supporting the project? You can still contribute by becoming a backer on their Kickstarter page, which remains open until Friday. It is hoped that such strong support will produce high-quality JRPG successors that can satisfy fans from all walks of life.
